The Baker Building opened in 1928 as a furniture store. During the World War II era , it was designated as the local USO. After the war, the Baker Building was used as a practice hall for the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra.

Over the years, the Baker Building has been the scene for many weddings, receptions, banquets, parties and other happy occasions.  The Baker Building boasts over 13,000 square feet of elegance and beauty from years past, with old world style tin ceilings, lustrous hardwood floors and leaded stained glass windows. The present has graced the Baker Building with central air conditioning and heating and illuminating skylights.  We would love to be a part of your memories. Please call for an appointment at 741-1539.
